Dr. Desiree McKay-Rogers

Director of Family Ministries 

Dr. Desiree Ashley McKay-Rogers (prefers Dr. Dez) was born and raised in the Northend of Hartford, CT. She received her Associates of Arts in General Studies from Capital Community College (2010), her Bachelors of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus in Human Services from Cambridge College (2012), and Masters of Education in Interdisciplinary Education from Cambridge College (2013). She holds two doctorates in philosophy, one in religious studies, and one in divinity both from Heart Bible Institute University (2019). Dr. Dez is a passionate lifelong learner. Dr. Dez is a philanthropist, missionary, community organizer/ activist, poet, educator, licensed social worker, and licensed substance abuse counselor.

Desiree is passionate about being in service to others. Service and volunteering bring her great joy.  When she is not serving in various capacities, she enjoys spending time with her husband Keith, her three children, Jah’Meek, Jah’Mez, Nazyier and family. Dr. Dez is known by loved ones as Dora the Explorer.  She enjoys thrifting, reading, coffee shops, tacos, and stuffed shells. Dr. Dez is a proud member of the Enfield Woman’s Club and Enfield Lions Club. Her motto is to live purposefully, laugh often even if for no reason at all, love wholeheartedly, and give without expecting anything in return.
