Transformation

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Each year, Trinity adopts a theme around which we center worship, church activities, and community outreach. This year, the Worship Committee has named “Transformation” as our theme.

The Bible is filled with stories of transformation:  Romans 12:1–3, Luke 19:41, Jonah 3:8–9, Colossians 1:12–13, Ezek. 11:1, Matthew 5:13–48, Isaiah 1:18 to name a few.

The pandemic has transformed our personal lives as well as the work of the church as we enter a “new normal”.

Recent staff changes have brought exciting new talents, ideas and directions to Trinity.

Transformation Stories

Several of our members responded to the call to share their transformation stories.  We will be highlighting these in the coming weeks.

Enjoy these personal responses to our theme of Transformation.

We are starting with a compilation of stories shared thus far. If you prefer to watch them full-sized, you can access them on our YouTube channel.

Share Your Story

What does "transformation " mean to you? Do you have a transformation story to share?   If you have a story, a thought, a dance, or an image you want to share, please e-mail it to worship@trinityspringfield.org, get it to Vera or Nicole Baker, or send it to the church office.  We would like to add your transformation story in a coming week.

Questions to help you get started writing your story:

  • What does transformation mean to you?
  • Do you have a “transformation story"?
  • How do you wish Trinity could help transform our community?
  • How do you wish Trinity could help transform you?

You are also invited to download and print these butterfly pictures to transform and share.
