Seasons
Each year, Trinity adopts a theme around which we center worship, church activities, and community outreach. This year, the Worship Committee has named “Seasons” as our theme.
What do you think of when you hear the word season? Maybe Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” where we can hear the music of summer, fall, winter and spring? Or the seasons of your life? Or the Liturgical seasons? Or maybe all of these are flowing through your mind.
“For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1
This is the verse that will anchor our theme. You might be very familiar with it but whether you are or not we invite you to read on through verse 8. The verses do not mention the word season again, but rather they point out the ebb and flow of our lives; the rhythm of all that takes place.
Throughout the building, you will see reflections on the theme including pictures, photos, poems, and elements of the worship service that reflect seasons. Feel free to contact the Worship Committee at worship@trinityspringfield.org if you want to share a reflection on the theme or have ideas to keep the theme alive throughout the church year!
It is our hope that the theme of “seasons” will help us to go deeper in our worship experiences and in our spiritual lives beyond worship.
