Rev. René Perez

Before coming to Trinity United Methodist Church, The Rev. René  Perez was Central Massachusetts District Superintendent and Dean of the Cabinet of the New England Conference Cabinet. He received his bachelor’s degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and his master’s in divinity degree from Drew Theological School in Madison, NJ.  Before coming to the New England District, he served churches in Pennsylvania.  He is an ordained elder in the New England Conference.

Rev. Erin Newcomb-Moore

Erin Newcomb-Moore is the Associate Pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church. She received her Masters of Divinity from Boston University in May 2017 and was commissioned as a provisional elder. Her past ministerial experience includes an internship at Carter Memorial UMC in Needham and serving as a supply pastor at Arlington Street UMC in Nashua, NH. When she is not at the church, Erin enjoys creative projects, playing the violin, exploring new places with her husband Spencer, and spending time outdoors.

Becky Rosendahl Issacson

Becky Rosendahl Isaacson is the Director of Music Ministry and has held this position since 1984. She serves as the church organist and is responsible for the direction of 5 vocal choirs, 2 handbell choirs, and is the music director for the annual Boar's Head Festival. She also plans and oversees the summer concert series "A Little Night Music." Becky holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Education, cum laude, from State University of New York at Fredonia and a Master of Music degree in Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.

Jeffrey Bennett

Jeff Bennett started his position as Church Administrator in January 2021. He comes from a retail background, where he spent many years as a General Manager and a Regional Training Manager. He has a strong background in business management, facility operations, training, and development. Jeff is a native of Western Massachusetts and currently lives in Springfield with his wife Carly and their two children, Andrew and Madelyn. In his free time, Jeff is a member of the St. Michaels’ Players and an active member in the Frederick Harris School PTO.

Maria Cloonan

Maria Cloonan has been the Director of the Trinity Nursery School and Kindergarten since June 2011. She has been in the education field for 29 years. From an early age she knew she wanted to have an impact on shaping young minds.  Six years ago, Maria made a change and brought her knowledge and experience to the Director’s position at Trinity.  Her love for children and families is what sets her apart from most.  In Maria’s spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends at home and Cape Cod.

Doreen Bessey

Doreen Bessey has been our Administrative Assistant since May, 2006. She wears many hats to keep the office running smoothly.
Previously, she worked as an accounting clerk, customer service representative, and a medical receptionist.
Doreen grew up in Springfield, and graduated from Cathedral High School.  She has two sons and enjoys participating in several women’s church groups.  She is a huge NASCAR fan and Red Sox fan!

Carlos Manning

Carlos Manning is Head Sexton at Trinity. He hails from Jamaica originally and has been in the U.S. for over 25 years. He joined the Trinity staff in 2015 after working in a synagogue in Queens, NY, for nearly 20 years. He lives in the Forest Park Community with his son. He has a daughter who lives in New York City.
