 Trinity's Youth Activities

Trinity offers numerous activities for youth including:

Middle and High School Church School classes

LIGHT@9 Youth Class is open to any students in middle or high school and meets in the Youth Room on the second floor. High schoolers are invited to choose between LIGHT@9 Youth and Deep Dive with Rob, which meets at 9:15 in the Hale Room.

The 2023-2024 LIGHT@9 Youth Class will be using curriculum called Re:Form, specifically the 15-lessons on Ancestors, New Testament.  Our youth in grades 6-9 will consider 15 of the main characters in the New Testament.  They range from Mary, the mother of Jesus to Lydia, one of the few women disciples in Paul’s letters.  Spread throughout the year, we will also learn about both Old and New Testament characters in Trinity’s glorious stained glass windows; interview some of the saints of Trinity; help decorate and then fill the Thanksgiving baskets; collect and count change from the congregation for food missions; have seasonal sessions on Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter; and make cards for shut-ins.

Souper Bowl of Caring

On Super Bowl Sunday, February 11, the middle school class collected $560 for the "Souper Bowl of Caring", a national program that encourages youth to collect money for local hunger relief and engage in acts of service around the time of the Super Bowl. All money collected will go to our own Parkside Pantry.

Lasagnas for Food Insecure Families

On Sunday, February 25, the Youth Fellowship assembled pans of lasagna to be distributed to families experiencing food insecurity.  This service project ties in with Trinity's mission to help provide food for our neighbors in need.  It also helps our youth understand how they can make a difference in the world around them.

Middle and High School Youth Fellowship--Every Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 in the Youth Room.

Each week we'll have dinner and then play games, do crafts, and grow our relationships with each other, with our church, and with God. In addition to the structured time, there will be open time for relaxing, fellowship, fun, and growing together.

Trinity youth also participate in the Dance Movement Choir, the Chamberettes, and serve as acolytes and assist with mission activities.  In addition, Trinity youth are active participants in the annual Boar's Head Festival.

All youth are welcome to be a part of our youth program.
