All Saints Sunday
The All Saints Sunday worship service is a special memorial to the Trinity "saints" who have passed away during the year. Miss D began this tradition years ago and it has continued and grown.
During the processional hymn, church members bring flowers to the chancel steps in memory of loved ones. These flowers are placed on the altar and distributed at the end of the service.
During communion, a list of the current year's saints is read as the dance movement choir comes forward with a candle in memory of each one, places it on the altar and then presents a special solemn interpretative dance. The candles are prepared by the young people who attend Chapel Kids during the month of October.
This special service gives everyone an opportunity to remember those special people in their own lives who are no longer with us but who live on in spirit and memories.
These are some photos from the service. Additional photos can be found on the Trinity Photo Blog.
