Trinity Sunday and Block Party Recap
September 12 was Trinity Sunday, when we traditionally welcome folks back after summer vacation. We introduced the theme for the year, "Transformation," by decorating the sanctuary with hundreds of paper butterflies and releasing live butterflies on the lawn after the service.
A highlight of the worship service was a delightful transformation dance presentation by some of the children during which they "transformed" from caterpillars in their chrysalises into butterflies and it can be seen HERE in this video by Sarah Crawford.
This was the first day the choir had sung since the beginning of the pandemic and it was also a chance for many to meet our new Director of Music Ministry, Michael Carney.
Following the worship service, Trinity members and friends and folks from the neighborhood gathered on the lawn for the annual block party featuring food, pony rides, lawn games, clowns, pie give-aways, and music provided by DJ Nic.
