Enjoying the Boar's Head Festival

We look forward to welcoming all who come to the Boar's Head Festival and want to make each person's experience enjoyable and meaningful.  With that in mind, we have prepared a few additional notes about the festival and all that it encompasses.

Please consult Boar's Head Festival 2019 for a complete description of the festival.  Information concerning the purchase of tickets is available on Boar's Head Festival Tickets 2019.

Before the Festival

The Boar's Head Festival begins with preparation festivities 45 minutes prior to the performance time listed on the tickets.  Cast members prepare the cathedral for the festival and welcome guests as they arrive.  This is a joyous time and you will be treated to performances by a a jester and puppeteer in addition to enjoying the singing and dancing of the townspeople as they go about preparing for the arrival of the lord and lady.  Please note that the doors will open one hour prior to the printed performance time.

Meet the animals

Immediately following the performance, you are invited to stop by the "stable" in the chapel to the right of the sanctuary to meet the shepherds and their animals.  You will have a chance to see and pet the sheep, goats, donkey, and llamas.

Reception

Immediately following each performance, you are invited to a punch and cookie reception in Asbury Hall.  Follow the crowd out the doors to the right of the sanctuary to the reception where you will be entertained by the Brass Quintet while enjoying delicious cookies and punch.  Each year church members make thousands of cookies for the enjoyment of our guests.  We hope you will take time to join us for this time of fellowship and refreshment.
