Lenten Luncheons and Mid-day Services
Friday Lenten Luncheons at Trinity are a well-established tradition. People come from near and far to enjoy the delicious homemade food and fellowship.
For many, the highlight of the meal is the lobster roll and for others it's the huge selection of homemade pies. In addition to these popular items, our luncheons feature a choice of homemade clam chowder or soup du jour and a variety of other sandwiches including egg salad, tuna salad, and olive and cream cheese. All items are a la carte.
Lunch is served in Asbury Hall every Friday during Lent beginning March 8 and continuing through April 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Enter through the community building door in the front of the building.
Come early for the best selection of sandwiches and pies.
Take-out orders are available by calling 413-221-5399 on Friday mornings. There will be a 50-cent charge per take-out order to help defray the cost of packaging.
Our first Lenten Luncheon of the season made the news on WWLP. Click here to view Sy Becker's report.
Proceeds from the luncheons go to support Trinity’s local and global mission and outreach projects.
Our volunteer crew prepares and serves the lobster rolls, sandwiches, clam chowder, soup du jour, and the numerous pies.
Delicious Homemade Pies
Our volunteer bakers make their specialities to share with our guests every week. We have a wide variety of pies available. The weekly choices vary depending on the availability of different bakers and ingredients but at some time during the season of Lent, you can count on finding blueberry, strawberry rhubarb, key lime, lemon meringue, fresh strawberry, pecan, coconut custard, and fruit of the forest among other selections. The most popular ones sell out fast so come early for the best selection.
Friday Mid-day Services
In addition, during the season of Lent Trinity Church offers Friday, mid-day services from 12:30 – 1:00 PM in Grace Chapel. These services are led by different members of our congregation. One member will offer a reflection and prayers and another will sing a solo. This year, these services will be focusing on the familiar 23rd Psalm, specifically the verse which states “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.” (Psalm 23:4)
We invite everyone to take time to join us in the Chapel every Friday from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. beginning March 8 and continuing through April 19.
