Dr. Bruce Glenny

Dr. Bruce Glenny began his duties as Director of Music Ministries on July 1.  We welcome him and look forward to him sharing his vision for music at Trinity as well as his talents as a musician.

For over 30 years, Bruce Glenny has served as organist/choirmaster in churches in Massachusetts, New York, Illinois, Michigan and Pennsylvania. He has directed adult, children and handbell choirs and has organized choir residencies to Cathedrals in England, Ireland and to St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. His choirs have sung at Westminster Abbey, St. Pauls’s Cathedral, St. Martin-in-the-fields, Canterbury Cathedral, Christ Church, Oxford and Durham Cathedral in the UK.

Bruce Glenny received a Bachelor of Music degree cum laude from Boston University’s School of Music, a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance from the Eastman School of Music.

As a performer, Dr. Glenny has played organ, harpsichord and clavichord concerts throughout the United States and in Italy and England. He has written many articles on clavichord performance practice for the journal Clavichord International.

Dr. Glenny recently retired as Director of Choral Activities at Radnor High School, Radnor, Pa.  He has served as organist/choirmaster at St. Peter in the Great Valley (Episcopal), Paoli, Pa. for 20 years.
