Virtual Nicaragua Mission Trip

Have you always wanted to visit Nicaragua as part of a mission delegation yet didn't have funding, a passport, or a willingness to travel aboard?  Did you visit Nicaragua and want to return?  Here is an opportunity for you.

Trinity will be hosting a virtual Nicaragua mission experience in March. For one week, Sunday March 24th to Friday, March 29th you will commit to spending every evening in community. From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. we will come together to share a simple meal, reflect on readings, journal our thoughts and listen to guest speakers, some of which will join us via Skype.

In addition to coming together each night we will practice acts of solidarity throughout the week to walk with our sisters and brothers in Nicaragua. Acts may include but not be limited to:

walking to meetings/appointments/events within a five mile radius of your home;

limiting shower use to two minutes;

committing to removing five unused items from your closet each day;

committing to limiting the checking of emails/FB/instagram/etc. to one time a day.

This trip is offered free.  The only requirement is that you fully commit to attending each night and commit to readings, writings and acts of solidarity. Seats are limited to twenty, so sign up now.

Sandra Collins, the organizer of this virtual mission trip shares details of the program..

You can register for the Virtual Nicaragua Mission Trip by emailing Sandra Collins at The deadline for registration is March 17.

Pictures from past mission trips to Nicaragua to show the impact Trinity members had during the seven years we sent mission teams.  Through the years we have helped provide clean water, safe stoves, latrines, and new trees to the villages of Las Mercedes and El Bijague benefitting over 80 families. In addition, Trinity members sent school supplies and hygiene kits for the children and sewing supplies for the women.
