Celebration of Pastor Rene's Ministry at Trinity

On Sunday, June 12, 2022, members and friends of Trinity gathered to celebrate Pastor René Perez's ministry at Trinity.  He has been appointed to John Wesley United Methodist Church in Falmouth, MA effective July 1, 2022.

The three years that Pastor René served Trinity were challenging and unprecedented.  No one anticipated the pandemic and its impact.  Pastor René led the congregation through uncharted territory as we began live streaming our worship service during the lockdown.  The live streaming of the service is now routine as we seek to meet the needs of congregation members who are unable to attend worship in person.  He also oversaw a visioning process to help lead Trinity forward.  In addition, Pastor René successfully navigated the transitions of four Trinity staff positions.

Pastor René's ministry at Trinity was celebrated both during the worship service and at a luncheon following the service.

During the children's message, Rob invited the children to ask Pastor René questions about his time at Trinity and what he would remember about the church.  Nate Olin highlighted many of René's accomplishments at Trinity during his sermon.  René received a number of gifts including a love offering, pictures of Trinity, and a stole with a rainbow and butterflies.

Nicole Baker created a double rainbow installation in the sanctuary to commerate the double rainbow that appeared over Trinity one evening this spring.

Below are some photos of the celebration.  We're grateful to E.M. and N.B. for sharing their pictures with us.
