Photos of the Lenten Children's Message series

"Looking Up"

Rob's Lenten Children's Message series for 2026 is entitled, "Looking Up."  Each week he is encouraging them to think about the things we see in the sky above and what they can tell us about God's love for us.  During coffee hour the children are asked to gather in Asbury Hall and paint pictures of what was talked about during the Children's Message.  The pictures will be added to the collective mural they are creating about the sky and what these items can tell us about God, ourselves, and God's love.

The first week Rob showed the blank sky picture and explained what would be happening.

We are sharing pictures of the messages and the children painting here.

The theme for week 2 (March 1) was Birds.  At the beginning of the children's message, 3 paper birds flew into the sanctuary and landed in front of the lectern.  The children painted pictures of birds during fellowship hour.
