February at Trinity

Please help our neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity by donating non-perishable food items.  Suggested items include:  canned goods (beans, vegetables, fruits, beef stew, tuna, chili, etc.), dry goods (flour, sugar, cereals, instant mashed potatoes, granola bars, pasta and jars of pasta sauce, nuts, peanut butter, and condiments.  Donations can be left in the collection bins in the back of the sanctuary for pick up by Open Pantry.

The Music Program at Trinity features choirs for all ages.  Information about the choirs and a schedule of rehearsal times can be found on the Music page

 

February 2

Church School for childrenyouth and adults at 9:00 a.m.

Greek Class will meet at 9:00 a.m. This class provides an opportunity to read the New Testament in the original Greek rather than relying on a translation. New members are welcome to join at any time.

The 10:30 a.m. worship service with communion in the sanctuary will be followed by fellowship in Asubry Hall.  

Bible Story Time meets during the worship service (following the Children’s Moment) for children ages 4-6 in the Bible Story Time room, next to the Nursery. There, a staff member leads the children in a time of reading, playing games, doing art projects, singing, and praying. This program helps children learn the stories of the Bible.

Youth Fellowship beginning at 5:30 p.m.

 

February 5

The Prayer and Discernment group will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Primary Room. 

The Mobile Food Bank of the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts will be in the parking lot from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. distributing food to residents of the neighborhood.  Volunteers are needed between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. to assist with set-up and clean-up.  New volunteers are always welcome.  Read more about the impact of the Mobile Food Bank at Trinity.

No Youth Fellowship  or dinner tonight.  High School youth are invited to a pizza night at the parsonage.  Details on the Youth Page.

February 25

The UMW will host a free Shrove Tuesday pancake supper from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.  Menu will include pancakes and meat and veggie sausages.  

 

February 26  Ash Wednesday

The Prayer and Discernment group will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Primary Room.  Ashes will be offered to anyone wishing to receive them.

Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 p.m. in Grace Chapel featuring special music and message to mark the beginning of the 40 days of Lent.  Imposition of ashes will be available for anyone desiring them.

 

February 28

Lenten Luncheon served in Asbury Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  

Mid-day service in Grace Chapel from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m.  Worship leader will be Kara Scott.
